Vintage MMA Lady’s Mantle Leaf Brooch – 24K Gold Plated Botanical Brooch

A beautifully sculptural Lady’s Mantle leaf brooch produced for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA).

The brooch captures the distinctive ruffled edges and radiating veins of the Alchemilla (Lady’s Mantle) plant. Cast with remarkable texture, the leaf appears softly folded and organic, with a curved stem extending outward in a natural botanical gesture.

The piece is finished in a rich 24K gold plate, accented with small rhinestones that catch the light like dew drops on the leaf’s surface.

Many botanical jewelry pieces produced for the MMA were inspired by historic metalwork and natural forms in the museum’s collection, making them both wearable jewelry and small works of art.
