Vintage Czech Marbled Lavender & Blue Glass Bead Opera Length Necklace – Bohemian Slag Glass c. 1930s–40s

A beautiful vintage Czech glass necklace featuring marbled lavender, violet, and cornflower blue glass beads with delicate brass bead caps.

The softly faceted beads are made from Bohemian marbled “slag” glass, a technique that blends multiple colors during pressing to create swirling stone-like patterns. Czech glassmakers perfected this method in the early 20th century to imitate natural stones such as chalcedony and fluorite.

The beads are individually hand-linked and accented with small blue glass spacers and brass filigree bead caps, creating a balanced and sculptural strand.

The cool blue and lavender tones give the necklace a luminous, almost gemstone-like presence.
