A standout specimen for the Littoral: Tidal Forms edit, the "Tidal Pool" pendant features a premium cabochon of authentic Dominican Larimar. Measuring approximately 1.5 inches, this artisan-crafted piece is set in a heavy sterling silver bezel. The stone exhibits a remarkable "water-on-stone" pattern, with soft sea-foam whites breaking through a deep cerulean base.
The bail is structural and marked 925 hallmark, and designed to hang with presence on a heavy silver chain or a thick silk cord.
Larimar is a variety of blue pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic. This pendant is an 'honest' example of the stone—not overly processed, letting the natural copper-induced 'waves' speak for themselves. Because it was discovered in riverbeds before reaching the sea, it is a perfect biological and geological cousin to the other tidal forms in this collection. The artisan construction is straightforward and sturdy, reflecting the 'found object' aesthetic of early coastal trade.
