This ring is a definitive maritime artifact. It features an external '925' hallmark on the outside of the band, a distinctive characteristic of traditional Polish silver-work from the Baltic coast. Amber is fossilized resin from ancient Eocene forests that was washed into the sea by river systems and eventually deposited back onto the shoreline.
